Flowers accompany us through life. They speak a silent language of beauty - a language made of earth, air, fire and water.

Heather graduated from NSCAD and has worked as an art instructor. Her recent work is based on memories.

Gardens, fields laden with blooms, the millions of flower paintings, and photos Heather has taken are the basis of her work. The paintings are also an exploration of line, defining the colour fields using a stick found in the garden and dipped in paint. It is very much a living process, like the unfolding of a flower.
