Melissa Nichols-Mcconnell

Melissa has strong emotional responses to the world around her. She is especially fascinated by the play of light and shadows. Whether the place is a landscape, interior or tabletop, the figures or objects in those spaces are part of the dynamic environment. Using acrylics, pastels or watercolours, she experiments and searches for the most effective way to represent her memory of those spaces where the visual elements of the space are equal to the figures or objects themselves.
